H.E. JUSTIN SUN
Before his rise as a globally known entrepreneur, H.E. Justin Sun grew up in Xining, China. From an early age, he stuck to computers like a magnet, spending hours coding and developing his skills. He graduated from Peking University in 2011 with a B.A. in history before getting a Masters in East Asian Studies. Though he majored in the humanities, he kept his knowledge of computers close and launched his first app Peiwo in 2013. Given that it now hosts over 10mn users, it’s safe to say Peiwo kickstarted Sun’s entrepreneurship. Moreover, it propelled him to be Jack Ma’s youngest student at Hupan University, a Forbes 30 under 30 member, the Chief Representative Advisor of Ripple Labs, and Davos Youth Global Shaper. After leaving his role at Ripple in 2016, he went on to found what he’s most well-known for: the TRON blockchain. Before he retired as CEO of TRON in 2021, he had grown his protocol to having over 85mn users and billions of transactions.
